Senior-Friendly Vacations Found Online

A couple of helpful Web sites have sprung up to assist seniors seeking a vacation rental, a home exchange arrangement or a golf tournament tour package. The most options can be found at SeniorSearch, which lists more than 70 vacation rentals for the over 50 age group. Accommodations can be found for U.S. destinations, including Arizona, North Carolina, Montana and Hawaii and such exotic locales as the Bahamas, Italy and Spain.

A handful of rentals are denoted as "senior friendly" by SeniorSearch.Home exchanges for seniors can be listed (for a $50 fee) and found at Seniors' Home Exchange, which helps people find a match to swap homes simultaneously or arrange to share visits in each other's homes. Another resource is Senior Golfers America, which offers package deals on trips to popular golf tournaments around the country. Be sure to check out your destination and the tour operator carefully before making a deposit.
